5. Description of your reason to join:
IC reasons include Landrath's unyielding loyalty to the Magocracy of Dalaran, his ambition to further increase his knowledge about the Arcane and his rather conservative nature. My main OOC reason to join is the strong personal affinity I have been feeling for the Magical City since Warcraft III. I have already roleplayed several arcanists who were more or less connected to Dalaran, e.g. an enchanter who did his apprenticeship there, or an arcanist who served as ambassador in different parts of Lordaeron. My account was inactive during the last months and I would like to start something new now. When I was browsing the RP realms' forums I encountered the Kirin Dal and decided to write an application.

Level of Arcane Corruption (None-Low-Moderate-High-Critical): Moderate
Landrath is addicted to arcane energies because he has been tapping them for 28 years. He has realized this, but he does not confide it to anyone. Instead, he tries to suppress it, which is still possible at this point. A moderate level of arcane corruption also means that he has become slightly arrogant, However, this does not imply that he behaves arrogantly non-stop. Whenever he receives an order by a socially higher ranking member of Dalaran's society, he obeys. He is also aware that the people of Dalaran have to keep together. His behaviour might change though as soon as he encounters foreigners who have no official business with the city. Landrath is particularly sceptical about the races which were not part of the old Alliance of Lordaeron, i.e. Night Elves, Draenei and especially Gilneans. They abandoned the Alliance after the Second War and did not offer any assistance or refuge during the Third War and its aftermath, which is an unforgivable crime in his eyes. He does not think highly of the horde either, but since one of the Six is a blood elf and since the horde has been officially accepted into Dalaran, he has to bow to this.

8. Background:
Landrath grew up in a non-noble, but still considerably wealthy family of arcanists which is rich in tradition. The family members have always served the cause of Dalaran, mostly in the academic or political sphere. Consequently, it is only natural for him to do the same. He was active in the Mages' Guild as well as in the Sorcerers' League before the Third War. He sought refuge in the Hillsbrad Foothills after the city had been annihilated. He quickly returned in order to help reconstruct it and rejoin his family. However, the political and economic influence of Guild and League, which had already been quite poor in the old days, had virtually ceased to exist. Hence, Landrath was forced to find a new organization he could join...
9. How do you usually spend your time online?
RP > PvE
I am a roleplayer fist and foremost and I am willing to participate in guild and open RP whenever there is a chance. Apart from that, I also like questing, To me, questing is exploring the wonderful world Blizzard has created for us. I particularly enjoy the music, the landscapes and stylish antagonists/bosses (e.g. Arcanist Doan, Captain Skarloc, Shade of Aran, Baron Ashbury). I am no big fan of PvP.
10. Is there anything you wish to add OOCly?
I am 22 years old, male and I attend university (British Studies, History). I will receive my Bachelor degree very soon. There might be one problem: English is NOT my native language. My mother tongue is German. It is up to you to decide whether my skills are sufficient. Playing on an English RP server is a chance to further refine my English and I would like to add that the situation on German RP servers is not as promising as on English RP servers... =/
